Jon Strong - Franchisee

I am the Franchisee of Rainbow International New Forest which also covers the surrounding boroughs such as Bournemouth, Poole Dorchester and Shaftesbury areas. We recently have taken on extra areas serving Salisbury, Southampton and Andover. Due to 12 years of experience in the industry, not only do I run the business but I also take pride and enjoy the practical elements of works carried out on site. During my time in this field, there have been many developments in drying regimes and equipment that I have always tried to keep in front of to ensure our clients needs are met.  I enjoy spending the majority of my spare time with my family taking random trips and also working on my classic mini.

Melissa Strong - Financial Manager

I am the Finance Manager of the franchise. I have been fortunate enough to watch  this business grow over a period of 12 years starting when Rainbow Christchurch was first established. My time at the company has been spent organising all accounts and ensuring the technicians are fully supplied with the necessary equipment and vehicles to carry out what is required of them.  In my spare time I enjoy days out with my family and partake in swimming , walking and bike riding activities.

Richard Preston - Operations Director

Richard Preston - Operations Director

I am the operations director and have enjoyed the 10 years I have spent with Rainbow to date. I have 6 years thermography experience and primarily deal with technical claims. It is recognised that the fire and flood restoration industry is fast paced with claims becoming more and more technical as property construction changes along with the methods for drying them. I am passionate in believing that it is fundamental for our company to keep ahead and invest in new technology available. Ensuring that we are able to deliver the best results possible for our customers. I am responsible for staff training and proud that our staff are well trained and able to use the available technology and deliver these services to a high standard. I enjoy meeting new people and the huge variety of customers we have, getting great satisfaction from the appreciation we receive for helping them through what is often a distressing time. Outside of work I enjoy surfing and playing and coaching football. I am a qualified coach and have coached a youth side for the past 7 years. The rest of my free time is spent travelling the country with my wife, supporting my son who competitively show jumps and events.

Corina Nelson - Project Coordinator

I am the Project Coordinator at Rainbow International New Forest. I ensure the instructions received from the insurers, policyholders and general clients are acknowledged and carried out while also liaising with all parties involved in a claim. Internally I organise the technicians diaries and schedules and arrange any hire equipment etc. needed as well as being the voice of the business in regards to customer service. I also correspond with 3rd parties that are involved in a claim to make sure they can complete their works either prior, during or when we have completed on site. I really love working with my team, we are such a varied bunch always offering each other support and most importantly a good laugh. I have an unhealthy obsession with eating out with friends and love to do Muay Thai boxing once or twice a week if I'm not too tired.

Grant Sharp - Technician

I am a fire and flood restorations technician and I have been working for Rainbow International for 2 and a half years.  I really enjoy my job where I work with such a great bunch of guys but also enjoy my face to face role dealing with policyholders and customers. I am currently training to become a senior technician so I can take a more active role in running a few jobs and works carried out on site. In my past times I enjoy all levels of angling, be it sea, game and corse fishing but I favour course fishing and getting amongst the big carp.

Steve Edwards - Technician

I have just become a qualified technician at Rainbow New Forest and have recently been certified in both fire and flood damage management. Since joining Rainbow earlier this year I've felt like I have joined a new family as everyone is so good to work with and happy to help each other out. I am grateful to be able to help clients and customers deal with their property and contents following various, difficult and upsetting circumstances. Meeting so many kind, interesting and delightful customers has really added to making this job even more rewarding.  In my own time I enjoy watching and playing a bit of golf. I am an avid Formula One fan. I part own a horse with my girlfriend and enjoy spending time with them both as they take part in dressage and show jumping competitions. I also enjoy going to the gym where I also swim and make use of there many facilities.

Having worked in customer care and service for the last 4 years I take great pride and satisfaction and find it very rewarding working with a diverse variety of people everyday in different situations. I thoroughly enjoy working for Rainbow as everyday I face new experiences and new challenges to overcome. I really like working as a part of Rainbow's team as I believe every single one of us take the necessary steps and care with each customer during their usually unfortunate circumstances. In my spare time I like working on bikes. I also enjoy keeping fit and active by participating in weekly Park Run events on a Saturday morning across the country as well as playing for my local rugby team.
